TSSBN Reactor Senior Engineer M x 2SF31302Devonport, PlymouthStarting Salary: £36525About the role:Were looking for two TSSBN Reactor Senior Engineer M within TSSBN Submarines Production Group based within 9 Dock at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. Were a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.As the TSSBN Reactor Senior Engineer you will coordinate Nuclear Procedures and act as Radioactive Protection Supervisor and Responsible Office as required.You will ensure that all allocated resources are suitable qualified and experienced for the tasking allocated and ensures sufficient health and safety for the workplace, personnel and compliance with nuclear safety.What do I need to do the roleYou are required to work on-board Submarines, confined spaces and Radiological areas. There will be a requirement to work overtime and shift work.

The applicant will have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety and nuclear safety processes.

Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

An excellent understanding of nuclear systems is required.

The RSE is an ASQEP role

Nuclear Plant Foundation & Fundamental Courses or NWSC.

Submarine Quality Assurance Course.

As the Reactor Senior Engineer you will be qualified as ONC or equivalent and have NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.What else do I need to know

The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving Security Check (SC) clearance.
