Job Description

Reed Education are working in partnership with a local mainstream primary school, who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support small groups of children in the classroom, alongside the teacher. These children may have a variety of needs includingeverything that falls under SEN.The school isn’t necessarily looking for a candidate with a vast amount of experience, they simply require a Teaching Assistant who wants to go above and beyond to help these young children reach their full potential.   • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional assistance.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Support classroom management by reinforcing established rules and routines.
  • Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to address the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
The successful candidates should have:
  • Experience in a primary school.
  • Experience in a school with high numbers of children with additional needs e.g. SEND, EAL, pupil premium children.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • GCSEs Maths and English, C or above and be able to illustrate good literacy and numeracy skills.
