Job Description

Role- Senior Mechanical EngineerSalary- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Type- PermanentLocation- PlymouthMy client works within the design of mechanical and electrical engineering systems for buildings are looking to take on an Senior mechanical engineer on a permanent basis in Plymouth Senior Mechanical EngineerAutoCADCymapNES - RevitElectrical Engineeringsystems for buildings - Mechanical EngineeringMechanical EngineerPlymouthBuilding Services The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in mechanical, building services engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 5 years relevant experience and can demonstrate suitable design experience
  • To be a competent engineer with significant experience in designing solutions for industrial applications
  • Experience of designing workplace and office design
  • Excellent knowledge in space planning, concept development and construction methods
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Cymap NES, Amtech, Revit 7 Microsoft office
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written English
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be keen to develop as part of a dynamic team long term and to develop career to higher status
  • A team player committed to adding value
The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
  • Provide mechanical building engineering services design to buildings and infrastructure
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth
  • Maintaining and developing existing client relationships
  • Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications and monitor spend to ensure that projects are delivered within their budges and time scales
  • To produce engineering designs and associated engineering documents (such as drawings, calculations, reports) and ensure they are completed within the required timescales.
  • Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standard of legislative requirements related to the discipline
  • Work on projects from inception through to completion
  • Invests time to manage and facilitate the work of others.
