Job Title: Quality Assurance EngineerLocation: Plymouth, Devon, GB, PL1 4SGCompensation: £ 32,660.00 + BenefitsRole Type: Full time / Permanent Job ID: SF42285The Product Quality Departments main function is to provide assurance that the Company activities deliver Submarines and Infrastructure that are fit for purpose. This role is supporting the Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) Business Unit in its deliveryof robust facilities that support maintenance activities on Submarines and Warships.Who we are looking forWe are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to provide support to projects at an early stage to define appropriate quality requirements.What will you be doing* To assure Life Time Records (LTRs) provide effective evidence that the design intent of plant, equipment and Infrastructure has been achieved.* Providing advice to suppliers and subcontractors on producing the required Life Time Records (LTRs) and undertake reviews to provide assurance that the records meet specified requirements.* Interfacing with and providing advice to project management, engineering and construction disciplines on project quality related matters.* Reviewing and mark-up quality related documents such as Inspection & Test Plans & Quality Management Plans, and support contractors in their development.* Ensure that all handover documentation is prepared & maintained on an ongoing basis to enable work package completion in a timely manner.* Support the SQAE in conducting internal and external audits.The experience youll bring * Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline* Nuclear sector experience preferred* ISO9001 trained Auditor (Registered Lead Auditor preferred),* Experience delivering quality on major infrastructure contracts,* To have experience of Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the Engineering sector, including supply chain functions.You will need to satisfy security requirements.
