Job Title: Project Manager Location: Plymouth, Devon, GB, PL1 4SGCompensation: £45,089.00 + BenefitsRole Type: Full time / Permanent Job ID: SF43138We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager within Nuclear Facilities. The role is fundamental to managing and coordinating the execution of a Special Projects within the Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) department, in support of the Submarine Programme.The department offers a friendly, flexible working environment, with further opportunities for development and progression within the company.Who we are looking forWe are looking for someone with project management experience in a similar environment / business sector. Youll be accountable for the delivery of projects to baseline schedule, cost and quality in line with customer requirements.What will you be doing* Lead and maintain a safety first approach in all project activities and foster the company safety culture and Babcock Guiding Principles* Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards to align with the group and business success criteria* Effectively manage the resources available whilst also resolving any conflicting requirements with other projects, operations and maintenance within the group and the wider site* Responsible for contracting and managing third party suppliers to achieve project success* Identify, manage and escalate project risks and issuesThe experience youll bring * Degree/HNC or equivalent level in engineering, project, construction management of related field* APM PMQ qualified of similar* IOSH Managing Safely or higher safety qualification preferred* Extensive Project Management experience in a similar environment / business sector* Have a track record of delivering technically complex and dynamic projects whilst also ensuring a high level of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment* Have an awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3,NEC4/JCT etc.)You will need to satisfy security requirements.
