Production Engineering ControllerPlymouthAbout the roleWere looking for Production Engineering Controller within the Submarines Business Unit Production team to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. Were a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.The Production Controller role is required in support of the Fleet Time Support Group Production team who work on Trafalgar- and Astute-class submarines. Specifically, the role will focus on managing and leading Constructive FLMs who in turn manage skilled personnel to execute the work as requested by the Customer.You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety processes within a production engineering environment and have previous experience in managing people. Experience of constructive (fabrication/welding/tiling) repair / replace / overhaul processes on Nuclear systems within Radiological and non-Radiological areas.What do I need to do the roleYou will be qualified to a minimum of an HNC, ILM Level 5 and IOSH or be prepared to work towards achieving themWe would also like you to have experience in the following areas:
