Principle Technologist Laboratory Assistant required for a 6 month (with possible extension) temporary role for a recognised leader in confections with a wide range of product offerings including gum, mints and various types of sweets, working at their chewing gum factory in Estover in Plymouth. You will have a degree in chemistry or other relevant scientific degree with knowledge of ISO, GLP, GMP, GDP and H&S training. You will be required to work in the laboratory therefore previous experience in an accredited laboratory is essential along with experience within the food, cosmetic or drug industry. The purpose of the job is to provide analytical and sensory technical expertise to support the quality of ingredients, process and finished products. The job holder will also be responsible for delivering technical operational Quality and Laboratory related tasks.The job offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and provide the site with strong technical/analytical support. The job holder will also have the opportunity to be responsible for the day to day running of the laboratory and sensory program, with the scope to bring improvements and efficiencies to these areas and processes. In addition to excellent benefits including 33 days holiday there is also a starting salary of £33,456.
