Power Systems EngineerSF39747Plymouth£37,165 - £45,835 + Pension (Matched Up To 8%) + 25 Days HolidayWere looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. Were a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely bysupporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.You will join the Power Distribution and Standby Generation (PDSG) team, which are responsible for providing both technical support and design consultancy for the private electrical power distribution network at HMNB Devonport. This includes high voltageand high energy 50Hz and 60Hz distribution, for critical facilities, naval vessels and submarines.As a Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing professional and flexible technical solutions to ongoing operations and maintenance across the site coupled with providing support to the Design Consultancy function of the department whoseactivities are focussed on the provision of new, or modification to; designs, equipment and facilities, as well as injection of new capabilities and undertaking life extensions activities.You will maintain configuration of technical drawings and documentation. You will support fault diagnosis and rectification. You will also undertake asset condition survey and respond to formal Technical Queries. You will be specifying replacement equipment/componentsand supporting the production of configuration documentation for permanent modifications.
