Job Description

Organisational PsychologistLocation: Devonport, Plymouth, PL1 4SGCompensation: Competitive Salary + BenefitsRole Type: Full Time / Permanent Role ID: SF 50561At Babcock were working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Organisational Psychologist at our Devonport site.The roleAs an Organisational Psychologist, youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Through your understanding of human cognition and behaviour, and ability to apply psychological principles to issues in the workplace, you will have an exciting opportunityto support and improve the lives of the workforce in Marine Support.Day to day, youll:

  • Develop, implement and assess specified interventions.
  • Advise the Warships Support Organisational Psychology Team Oversight Committee.
  • Plan and manage own research objectives in conjunction with the Organisational Psychology Team.
  • Use initiative to identify areas for development of research to create solutions for business priorities.
  • Work collaboratively within the department to present findings, network with a range of individuals, attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
Essential experience of the Organisational Psychologist:
  • A track record in Organisational psychology or human factors research or practitioning in the workplace.
  • Demonstrable intellectual agility for problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with research ethics requirements and the principles of good research practice.
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator, you will be required to articulate complicated arguments to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You will also need to demonstrate that you can drive projects and issues proactively to completion.
This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days required onsite at Devonport and 2 days working from home. However, you must be able and willing to be onsite as and when required.Qualifications for the Organisational Psychologist:
  • Graduate qualification in a psychology-related discipline.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.Our Benefit
