Job Description

LT90:Occupational Health AdvisorLocation: PlymouthSalary:£CompetitiveOverview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit an Occupational HealthAdvisor to join their team in Plymouth on a permanent basis.As an Occupational Health Advisor, youll make a tangible and lasting difference to peoples lives every day.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Health Surveillance, Audiometry, Spirometry and Fitness for work assessments.
  • Undertake case management over the phone/in person, producing high standard and quality management advice reports.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support other team members where less experienced.
  • Undertaking fitness to work health assessments and providing advice on the adaptations and restrictions where appropriate.
  • Providing actionable, evidence-based sickness absence / ill health case management, arranging appropriate referrals to allied professionals where appropriate and agreed by the referring officer and providing advice on vocational rehabilitation.
  • Developing and delivering health and wellbeing strategy and initiatives.
  • Undertaking administrative duties associated with clinical and non-clinical tasks.
  • Any other duties as requested by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified or Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health is preferable.
  • Experience in a commercial occupational health setting, particularly with exposure to case management and health surveillance.
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work at all levels.
  • Strong case management experience.
