You will support a team that provide maintenance documentation for all combinations of nuclear, mechanical and electrical facilities on both thenuclear licenced site and to the rest of the naval base including floating assets, satellite, and commercial sites.Who we are looking forWe are looking for you to be driven and experienced in the drafting of mechanical documents for an expansive range of plant, equipment and process systems. We are looking for you to be keen in furthering your knowledge and experience in nuclear site maintenancedocuments - PMSs, EIMTs and Job Plans - and how these are developed from Safety Cases, Substantiation Reports, Drawings/Designs and Manufacturers advice.What will you be doing* The provision of mechanical maintenance documentation deliverables within your area of responsibility (nuclear, and mechanical aspects of engineering for plant/assets/facilities) to Plant, Design & Safety and Maintenance Managers* Preparing and verifying the maintenance requirements, specifications and other documentation in support of the maintenance of nuclear plant facility and equipment (in compliance with the Site Licence Authorisation (Nuclear) and the Non-Nuclear plant, facilitiesand equipment* Leading or working within a team of Engineers, planning and organising specific tasks and facilitating progress* Providing advice on the implementation and upkeep of maintenance documentation and compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations, including provision of responses to technical queries* Assisting in the development of maintenance strategies and ensuring that conventional Health & Safety Executive statutory regulations/ requirements are embodied into maintenance documents (e.g. HASAWA, COSHH, PSSR, LOLER, DSEAR Regulations, etc.)* Supporting the development and operation of the maintenance regimes of the Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intentThe experience youll bring * HNC in a Mechanical engineering discipline and knowledge in maintenance activities of mechanical plant and equipment. Alternatively, applicants with a mechanically biased ONC and heavier experience of maintenance applied in fields of marine, nuclear, process,utility engineering etc. will be considered.* Electrical engineering experience would be beneficial but not essential.* Be an incorporated Engineer or Eng. Tech or working towards such qualification but professional qualification is desirable.You will need to satisfy security requirements.
