Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s lifeReed Education is seeking a dedicated Mainstream 1-2-1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role. This rewarding position offers £85-100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications), working 5 days a week from 8.30-3.30 in a local Plymouthschool.Responsibilities:

  • Support the learner on a 1:1 basis both educationally and emotionally
  • Work collaboratively alongside the class teacher and SENCO
  • Understand the child’s next steps and targets as set in the EHCP
  • Participate in school trips, events, and activities with the child
  • Attend any additional CPD as required
  • Follow the school’s policy for behaviour and maintain high standards
  • Report safeguarding disclosures or concerns as necessary to the designated safeguarding lead
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a school or nursery setting in the last 2 years (essential)
  • Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification (desirable)
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, knowledge of the National curriculum
