Logistics Planner Team Leader Permanent Role £34,000 plus Bonus Early shift - 07:00 - 15:00 Do you have experience in Logistics and warehousing, with people leadership and management skills The main function of the job, entails Management, and Development of logistics planning and related activities and supporting key strategies for improved Customer experience, on time delivery and logistics costs. Act as a leadership role model for other teammembers. Duties and Responsibilities * Transport bookings and confirmations * Assist logistics planning for Christmas, Easter, European holidays and times of supply constraint* Banksman duty for marshalling heavy periods of truck arrivals * Meet and greet for drivers* Assist contract reviews with Forwarders and hauliers* Offsite logistics movements * Daily escalations, logistics issues and customer delivery issues * Support alignment of truck and container planning against customer demand* Ensure all employees in the team have a safe and appropriate working environment, equipment and training to meet and exceed all health and safety targets * Monthly reporting against key strategic metrics * Future planning/change management (process improvements)* Ensure adherence to ISO9001 processes Qualifications and Experience * People leadership and Management * MRP and Warehousing systems * Strong knowledge of logistics * Operational H&S * Experience of Logistics and warehousing * Logistics and Warehouse Management * Operations management * Level 3 in LogisticsAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
