Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become availablefor a Senior Analyst to join the Solutions team within ourIT department. Key commitments of the Solutions team include driving a number of core IT initiatives and acting upon stakeholder requirements with strategicIT impact & importance. Our aim is to match these demands to their best fit solutions, shaping future systems and processes, and maximising overall value & efficiency.Reporting to the Principle Solutions Architect and working closely with our Technical Architects, Cyber Security representatives and business stakeholders, youll become a key player in realising common goals.This role covers a wide range of responsibilities within the Solutions lifecycle with primary focus on researching technical landscapes as tasked by the Solutions Architect and translating key findings into viable plans. These plans will then form part ofthe Statement of Work for the appropriate delivery team.As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working.   • Perform research and analysis duties for given assigned topic areas
  • Produce technical diagrams and documentation including:
    • Evaluation and solutions comparison reports
    • Diagrams including infrastructure, network, data & interfaces
    • Statements of Work and technical guidance documents
  • Implement workable solutions in the form of Proof of Concepts where required
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with IT and the business to include:
    • Provide advice on technical matters
    • Liaise with business stakeholders and 3rd Parties to ensure best fit solutions
  • Enterprise Architecture modelling via the Abacus tool
  • Road Mapping to minimise unplanned technical debt
  • To provide support and guidance to junior staff as appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
  • Education to degree level or equivalent, preferably in an IT related subject.
  • Experience working with multiple computing languages and tools.
  • Practical experience of analysis and design for IT system solutions.
  • Sound technical understanding of multiple technologies and architectures, with the confidence and ability to convey this knowledge.
  • The ability to produce high quality technical documentation including diagrams and reports.
  • The ability to demonstrate a forward thinking attitude in considering the use of new technologies, tools and working practices in order to support modernisation and digitalisation initiatives.
  • A genuine interest in the technical side of IT, having a thirst for understanding technologies, and able to demonstrate the necessary aptitude, skills and experience to make a success of this opportunity.
  • An understanding of Agile working practices.
  • The ability to clearly communicate with others.
