General Operative to work within precision manufacturing ,Plympton based Mon -Thur 0800-1630 Fri 0800-1300.Competitive salary!This role requires a high standard of assembly work within a precision manufacturing environment of Gas and Flame detection equipment. Youll maintain a high quality of work, fully cooperating with the Manufacturing team and adhering to work procedures.Tasks and Responsibilities:* Assembling PCBs into metal housings* Light mechanical assembly* Computer aided testing of various electronic assemblies* Visual inspection of PCBs * Packing and despatch* Advise Production Supervisor of parts shortages, quality and other production issues* Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others* Maintain a clean and safe work area* Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions or actions to the Production Supervisor* Performs other related duties as requiredExperience:* Soldering and electronics assembly would be preferred* Knowledge and ability in meeting precise electronics standards of work* Have the electronic technical aptitude to evaluate product failures or changes in Product characteristics* Can do attitude and will ensure tasks are completed, whatever is required* PC skills and user knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word* Ability to communicate effectively and concisely at varying levels* Able to work well within a team or on ownPlease click apply now or call the Acorn Plymouth office to discuss further.Acorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
