WALTER C. We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family.We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a full-time Funeral Directors Assistant. You will be required to carry out all duties associated assisting the funeral director, including the driving of funeral vehicles, bearing, facilitatingviewings with bereaved families, removal of the deceased from the place of death and coffin preparation.You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Removal Rota to allow us to provide a 24-hour service. This involves being on call outside of office hours for 17 weeks during the year on a rota basis. As a result, you will benefit from 7 weeks holidayduring the year on a rota basis, as well as being paid for out of hours duties in addition to your salary.The position will provide a great opportunity to explore a new career in Funeral Services, or a change of role for someone with experience in the sector to work with one of the UKs leading family-run funeral businesses.Please note that whilst mechanical means are used as much as possible there are occasions where lifting and carrying heavy weights are part of the role. Manual handling training is provided and the company takes their responsibility seriously; however, applicantsmust be able to carry out the full duties of the role.Our ideal person will be well presented, have excellent customer service skills, good manners and wont mind being outside in all weathers.
