For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunityof afull time service contract at a customer location in southern England. The engineer will initially be performing a first line support for all products supplied to the customer including Tracks, scrubbers and furnaces. Over time and with further training, a higher level of support is expected on all products.Qualifications & RequirementsThe following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable.• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.• Two years’ plus work experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic problems.• Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.• Proven record of being reliable and accountable for all aspects of their job.• Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.• Strong time management skills.• Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills• Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities. Able to work productively in a pressurized environment.• Diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:• Complete training on all products supplied to the customer.• Installations of equipment at customer sites.• Technical support for customers technical questions.• Completion of quarterly and annual PMs on customer tools.• Training of customer on operations and basic maintenance of tools engineer is trained on.• Completion of upgrades and retrofits.• Identify areas for improvement of installed base and propose solutions• Manage consignment stock to ensure stock levels and billing• Escalate technical issues as per escalation process. Liaise with factory technical support as needed.• Generate weekly report on status of activities on site and key problems.• Maintain contact with key technical staff on site and report any customer satisfaction issues.Benefits and SalaryThe position includes a competitive salary as well as car package, life and health insurance, pension and mobile phone.
