Job Description

The Opportunity: Field Service EngineerContract: PermanentLocation: PlymouthAmeyBriggs is an engineering services and asset management specialist with its people core to everything that it does. Our team members are highly skilled and can offer flexible and bespoke solutions for our customers across a range of new, used or shortterm hire equipment. We are a joint venture between Amey and Briggs Equipment. If you dont feel like you meet all of the role criteria outlined below please dont let that discourage you from applying.The Impact you will have:

  • Both at outset and as work progresses, liaise with Service Desk MSC and customer on the range of expected work providing clarity and understanding by all parties the likely timescales and associated costs are understood
  • Identify any further work required on a machine and ensure the customer is made aware of the fact, especially where a cost to the customer is to be incurred (NFWT). The engineer should ensure that they identify potential revenue for equipment that has beendamaged
  • Complete all related job and service documentation with accurate data and all necessary signatures/documents obtained from the customer
  • Repair, maintain, inspect and service plant, equipment and associated ancillaries to current company standards and LOLER and PUWER legislation, both at regional pool location and on site as directed, using effective time management systems
  • Ensure that safe systems of work are adopted and company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies are read, understood and adhered to at all times
What will help you to excel in this role:
  • City & Guilds, NQV or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in diagnosis techniques
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety, LOLER and PUWER
  • Experience in construction related Plant/ MHE/ HGV maintence
  • Able to demonstrate a positive culture for their own and others safety, to be able to complete work based dynamic risk assessments and to assist in the production of hazard surveys and safe systems of work
