Job Description

Fabricator/WelderAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Fabricator/Welder based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will earn £14.99 per hour to £16.73 dependent on experience to fit with the company’s current pay grades. Candidate must live in a commutable distance to Plymouth.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Welder Fabricator in all forms of steel, i.e., mild, stainless, carbon and aluminiumRole Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • They will need to be qualified in MIG and TIG welding. Experience in MMA welding would also be advantageous.
  • They must be able to read drawings in 2D. Able to fabricate work from scratch with little intervention.
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD 2d would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Fabricating MIG/TIG from in house fabrication drawings.
  • Able to work with steel plates from 3mm to 20mm in steel, stainless and aluminium.
  • An understanding of workshop health and safety is important
  • Experience in structural welding would be an advantage.
    • The right candidate would have experience in using the following equipment.
  • TIG/MIG welding equipment
  • MMA welding equipment
  • Band saw
  • Circular saw
  • Bending machines
  • Pillar drilling machines
  • Angle grinders
  • Automated CNC machine (training to be given)
  • Pneumatic tools
    • Role Responsibilities
  • They would be required to visit clients’ sites to support on-site welding, erection and installation of prefabricated products, mainly for the commercial and industrial sectors
