Job Title: Deputy Security Operations ManagerSF34826Location: Plymouth, Devon, GB, PL1 4SGBusiness Unit: Base ServicesSalary: £ 49,640.00About the roleHere at Babcock International were looking to recruit a Deputy Security Operations Manager.Youll ensure consistency in approach across physical and process boundaries to achieve proportionate risk balance across the range of activities on site, including meeting the significant reputational risk involved in meeting HMG and public expectation and the intent of our International Partners in achieving safe stewardship of nuclear technology.Youll also ensure that Babcock is effective in supporting and delivering a professional secure & efficiently run Nuclear level 2 site. Working collaboratively with the customer looking for continuous improvements in all areas.Main Purpose of Role:* Provide leadership, management and control for interpreting, implementing and monitoring security controls for the appropriate protection of government classified information and assets at DRDL, designed to prevent unauthorised access to sites, facilities and in particular SECRET assets and information and Accountable Nuclear Material (ANM), Defence Nuclear Information (DNI) and Defence Nuclear Assets (DNA).* To review and identify improvements in processes with a view to continually improve bringing in efficiencies and effective outputs that are value for money.* Promote the team ethos in Security Operations.* Strive to meet the contractual KPIs, providing the detail in a timely manner to Security Operations Manager.* Deputise for the Security/Nuc Sy Operations Managers.There may be times where you may be required to travel to other Babcock sites in the UK.What do I need to do the roleYoull need proven Operational Security Experience and experience in managing a team (they will be overseeing a team of 68 in this role).Would also like you to hold experience in all or some of the following:* Some Nuclear awareness* Understanding of security vetting processes* Level 6 in Leadership and Management or can demonstrate experience in a leadership role* IT systems accreditation experienceWhat else do I need to know* The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving Security Check (SC) clearance.* We are happy to talk about flexible working.
