Job Description

TQR are excited to be working closely with one the UKs largest regional Law firms, and have and Delivery Manager position available. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great company on a full-time, permanent basis, and is not to be missed!This role will involve building relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the business to learn and understand their business challenges and to help solve them. This is a challenging and rewarding role which will allow you utilise your broad rangeof skills to improve delivery through process re-design, technology development and implementation.A few things that would help you to make an impact in your new role would be clear and concise communication skills, the ability to quickly develop a good understanding of the business and how they operate in general, and confidence in supporting colleaguesat all levels. You will be given all the tools and support to be able to settle into your new role and to hit the ground running.Some of the main duties of this role will include:

  • Pre-delivery engagement - understanding at an operational level the impact of proposed strategic changes and ensuring relevant factors are captured within project / SOW
  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile/scrum/waterfall project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently
  • Project manage and facilitate the delivery of solutions from ideation to release and:
- Follow the appropriate governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities, that align with organisational practice- Consolidate and document the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)- Include change management plans within your delivery plan working closely with our Change and Adoption team and the end users.- Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects- Work with end users and supporting teams across the business to determine and document requirements to support the development of the system.- Budget management - Has remit to manage budget associated to project delivery aligning with our established processes.
  • Facilitating testing of new developments and software releases into business as usual in conjunction with end users and IT teams.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss progress on current initiatives, issues to be resolved and prioritise the future development schedule.
  • Continuous improvement - Oversee continuous improvement changes for delivered system changes
  • Matrix management of multidisciplinary team.

Some of the qualities/experience that will help you to succeed in this role are:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
  • Successful track record of deploying efficiency solutions / project / IT systems / technical solutions to fast growing organisations.
  • Be able to get the best out of individuals and the project team as a whole. You need to be able to motivate, support, commiserate and lead by example in every area you get involved in with your team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the requirement to work with end users, other business units and third parties to provide solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with suitable qualifications such as Agile (ideally Scrum certification), PRINCE 2 or iTIL. Member of registered bodies including APM would be an advantage.
  • Change management skills with suitable qualification such as ADKAR or Kotter methodologies highly desirable.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support the best practice use of the firms systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise own work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work from different offices across the Southwest.
  • Previous experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar project management tool would be desirable.
  • Experienced in driving projects to deliver value whilst engaging project governance and stakeholder relationships to achieve this.
  • Firm yet fair - People should be able to come to you withtheir concerns/worries but also know that you are going to have their backs if you need to.
