Job Description

The Covid Vaccination Project Manager is responsible for the day to day operational management of the Covid Vaccination programme in line with regulatory requirements.The post holder will be responsible for the programme management of this service, including capacity management, logistic and operational planning, estates facilitation and acting as the practice lead for Regional and National meetings.The vaccination programme is delivered across 7 days a week between 8am-8pm. Whilst it is expected that the majority of hours will be take place during standard core hours, there is an expectation the post holder will support the on call and weekend rota.The Project Manager will lead the implementation and daily management of the Covid Vaccination service delivered at the PCN designated site and will ensure staff have a point of contact for day to day queries. The Project Manager will lead the programme and ensure governance arrangements are in place for the safe, personal and effective delivery of the service, this will include supporting the clinicians with clinical oversight, preparing data sharing and technology agreements, managing demand and capacity and ensuring that the service is appropriately staffed.

  • Qualification in Management or Supervisory management or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in the NHS and Primary Care.
  • Proven track record of meeting project/operational management
  • Excellent management and IT skills.
  • Experience of personnel issues including recruitment, training and supervision.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in a staff management position.
  • Considerable experience of delivering an excellent service to customers in a pressurised environment
  • Understanding of CQC standards
  • Experience of delivering multiple complex projects to conflicting deadlines
