Job Title: MiP User Acceptance Group EngineerLocation: Plymouth, Devon, GB, PL1 4SGCompensation: £ 51,000 to £62,000 + BenefitsRole Type: Full time / Permanent Job ID: SF41230We have an exciting opportunity within the User Acceptance Group within MIP/SI. The facilities and infrastructure at Devonport are key enablers to the sites ability to support both the Warship and Submarine Programmes. It is essential that the right infrastructurecapabilities are in place to support the needs of the MoDs future programmes. The Major Infrastructure Project Business Unit has been formed to oversee a portfolio of work which includes the development and implementation of a Strategic Plan to meet the infrastructurerequirements for the next 30 years.Who we are looking forWe are looking for subject matter experts with extensive experience in site wide facility development and upkeep or submarine production activities. The User Acceptance Group (UAG) is responsible for defining the user requirements for new facilities thatwill enable both fleet time and deep maintenance activities to be undertaken in Devonport. The scope includes, in addition to new facilities, the requirements for the upgrade of current facilities including the continuing use of 8 and 15 docks and for thedefuel programme in 14 dock.What will you be doing* Site wide facility capability including commissioning and upkeep* Production managers/zone managers with recognisable experience in DMPs/RAMPs/BMPs/LTBs. * Facility/Plant management roles in a nuclear infrastructure facility. * Requirements management/Systems EngineeringThe experience youll bring * Ideally will have extensive experience of site wide facility development and upkeep of submarine production activities.* Ideally will have an Engineering degree* Ideally be a Chartered Engineer*Lower qualifications will be considered if adequate job experience and subject matter knowledge can be satisfactorily demonstrated.You will need to satisfy security requirements.
