We help customers in the UK and around the world to improve the capability, reliability and availability of theirmost critical assets within the four market sectors of Marine, Land, Aviation, and Nuclear, underpinned by a deep understanding of technology integration, unique infrastructure and specialist training.The roleThe difference our new Civil & Structural Engineer will makeAs a Civil & Structural Engineer, youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. You will join part of the wider Facilities Engineering Technical Authority that is responsible for all technical aspects of through life management of the infrastructure acrossDevonport Royal Dockyard to ensure the wide range of facilities are operational and fit for purpose.Day to day, youll support planned maintenance and inspection of a variety of civil and structural assets across the site. This will support through life maintenance of our assets at Devonport Dockyard including waterfront berths and wharfs, concrete dock structuresand building structures.At Babcock, we have a history of helping talent go far. This role is based Onsite at Devonport, Plymouth.Essential experience* An understanding of civil structures and associated through life issues.* Self-motivated and ability to deliver to a schedule and deadlines.* Youll be either educated to degree level in Civil, Structural or related engineering discipline, or hold a level 4/5 STEM qualification (HNC/HND) with substantial relevant experience.* You need to possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with others, including internal stakeholders and customers.* A willingness to adapt and learn.* You will need to satisfy security requirements.
