Job Description

Opportunity to act as a Technical Lead on all Civil Engineering activities for our bulk fuel operations client.This would suit an individual from the oil and gas, refinery or downstream sectorsSome knowledge/experience of fuel storage tanks, bunds, drainage, Reinforced Concrete etc would be a distinct advantage for this role.Some key elements to the role -

  • Responsibility for a number of Civil Engineering activities within projects and/or engineering works at any one time
  • Overseeing professional contract engineers who conduct engineering activities on the There will be a need to build clients assets.
  • Build strong credible working relationships with all internal stakeholders and in particular HSEQ, other Engineering colleagues as well as with external stakeholders including external contractors and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure Civil Engineering Projects are completed and are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
  • You will be a key contributor to the improvement of project management systems, procedures and workflows.
  • Plan and manage the programme of works for Civil Engineering Projects in line with company standards and relevant and UK / European legislation.
    • Qualification/Experience
  • Civil Engineering degree
  • Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC, and CDM regulations.
  • Previous experience of working within MAH environments.
  • Previous experience of managing multiple site works.
  • Previous experience of tank farm/bund projects
