Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint an Category Manager. The main purpose of the role is to lead and deliver category strategies that bring transformation and value into FMSP and the wider clients business. Therole will be high profile across the local business and into the group, provide an exciting opportunity to influence real change and own the delivery of key projects.Key Responsibilities:* Establish and maintain the highest standards of professionalism for all aspects of Category Management, including: data-analysis, sourcing strategies, market engagement, commercial evaluations, supplier relationship management, written and verbal communications.* Develop a good understanding of the specific supply markets relating to HR, professional services Corporate Services Category.* Support and Conduct sourcing activities to meet Site/sector-wide requirements in support of the overall Group Category strategy.* Conduct market engagement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award activities in respect of a specific portfolio of services.* Implement sourcing and supplier management initiatives to deliver against the Value Plan; this will involve running and delivering sourcing projects from conception through to completion.Experience Required:* Experience in managing Corporate, HR & Professional Services procurement would be highly advantageous.* Working towards MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification.* Strong understanding of data analysis, and the ability to identify key issues from analysis.* Understands Procurement value contribution & levers against a range full portfolio of HR & Corporate categories.* Experience in contract formation, authoring and Negotiation.* Experience in delivering sourcing projects in a complex business environmentThe successful candidate will be required to undertake and maintain appropriate security clearance.
