We currently have an opportunity available for a Catchment Technician to join our team working in Plympton. In return, we offer an excellent range of benefits which include free car parking at the majority of our sites, company Sharesave Scheme, and various health benefits.About the role of Catchment Technician:You will support the Wholesale WWS Treatment and Pump Station Operation Manager through monitoring and investigating the performance of the Treatment and Pump Station assets in relation to outcomes targets and environmental protection commitments.Responsibilities as our Catchment Technician include:- Monitoring the performance of Treatment and Pump Station assets and associated equipment and regularly reviewing and updating operational maintenance plans to optimise performance.- Liaising with Asset Management for progress on Investment Manager Schemes on behalf of the WWS Operational Area- Supporting the team through reactive response to compliance hot spots to help resolve issues and suggest solutions- Responding to technical enquiries and customer correspondence and providing technical information where required- Partaking in the WWS Sub Regional Pollution and Environmental response standby rotation- Deputising for the Wholesale WWS Treatment and Pump Station Manager at meetings and events- Site ISO Document review planning and timeline/tracking- Supporting the management the operation of the Treatment Works and associated assets to achieve the required performance to achieve Company targets- Collaborating with the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager and the area Health and Safety Representatives to review Site Risk Assessments and/or safe systems of work to effectively manage risks- Ensuring action plans for chemical optimisation, energy and DUOS/TUOS programmes are understood and maintained by the delivery team- Working with the Catchment Pilot and Maintenance and FSC Manager to pre-empt events or failures and support effective planning through collaborative working with the FSC teamWhat we are looking for in our Catchment Technician:- 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent including Maths, English and a Science subject- ONC / City and Guilds in relevant subject or NVQ Waste Water Process or Sewerage Control Level 2 standard of competence or HNC / Water Diploma- Proven ability to work within a team environment but also on your own- Proven ability to communicate and liaise effectively with internal and external customers in both verbal and written contextsClosing date: 11th June 2021If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Catchment Technician - we look forward to receiving your application.
