We are looking for an enthusiastic occupational therapist (OT) to join our multi-disciplinary CAMHS Inpatient Adolescent Team. The post holder will lead the OT team consisting of a band 5 OT and an OTA.Plym Bridge House is a 12 bed, regional Tier 4 inpatient unit. We work with young people aged between 12 and 18 years, with severe and complex mental health presentations such as PTSD, psychotic states, eating disorders and severe depression/anxiety conditions.There is an experienced therapy team comprising of occupational therapy, clinical psychology and family therapy. This is alongside a large nursing team, medical and education teams.We are seeking a therapist who is passionate about working with children and adolescents and has experience of supervising and developing junior staff. The post holder will be expected to shape and develop the therapy service in line with the clinical need as well as use their own technical/creative skills to provide a flexible, client-centred programme of therapeutic activities, for individuals and groups of young people at Plym Bridge House. They will also provide specialist occupational individual and group assessment and treatment of young people to contribute to the clinical understanding of patients within the multidisciplinary team.This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a respected team who engage in rewarding and intensive work with children who experience a range of complex issues and challenges.
