Job Description

Trainee or Deputy Auctioneer | Plymouth |40 hours per week |Monday to Friday - 04.30am to 12.30pm |£27,000 to £32,000 depending on experienceEstablished in 1995, Plymouth Trawler Agents Limited (PTA) is an independent firm of fresh fish auctioneers and fishing boat agents.We are a small company, and to join our team, you must be prepared to be versatile. First and foremost we are a Service Company.Knowledge of the Fishing Industry would be an advantage but not essential. You should be aware some of the tasks take place on the fish-market floor.It is essential that you have your own transport or live locally due to the 04.30 am starting time. Working from home is NOT an option.Are you the right person for us

  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel and proficient in other MS Office products
  • Punctual, reliable, flexible, honest and willing
  • Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
  • The ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Strong communication skills
