Crown was founded on valuing and promoting sustainability and this focus remains essential to ourlong-term future.About this opportunityThe purpose of the Team Lead role is to lead and motivate the team throughout the shift, in all aspects of normal line operation. This includes ensuring compliance with safety procedures, driving quality, production, spoilage, planning, leading changeovers,autonomous maintenance activities and problem solving. These activities are in addition to the core role and the Team Leader remains part of the normal crewing levels.Shift PatternYou will work on a Continental Based Shift Rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off. After a pattern of five of these shifts you have 14 days off and we also give you 18 days off in the summer.This equates to 144 rostered shifts per year and an outstanding work/life balance!Benefits Site annual bonus scheme 9% Company Pension contribution Cash Health Plan 25 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays (for employees working shifts this is mainly contained in the shift pattern) Free parking on-site Restaurant on-site Cycle to work schemeMain ResponsibilitiesProduction Ensure team compliance with all safety procedures and safe systems of work Ensure product quality is maintained, reacting to any change in process, and follow up on non-conformance Focus on production output during shift React to and prevent spoilage, implementing appropriate corrective actions where required Set and maintain a high standard of housekeeping Lead improvement activities Communicate across the department in relation to the above processes by ensuring logbooks are completed and liaising with other shift Team Leaders to ensure effective communication across the department Control autonomous maintenance activities Ensure effective shift handovers are conducted by all team members Participate in the development of the team Utilise available resources across the departmentReporting Review and sign-off logbooks, action issues as appropriate Assist with breakdown analysis, corrective action reports and complaint investigationsLeadership Expectations Demonstrate a commitment to Safety - STOP cards/Audits Show awareness of and promote business requirements Show commitment to team working.
