Job Description

Recycling Relationship ManagerPeterborough - £45-55K + BonusAre you a passionate about reforming the way we recycle and transform our communities wasteWe have an opportunity to join a global recycling company supporting its Peterborough based site on a hybrid basis. This is a fast-growing company who has achieved global status with in the last 15 years helping to connect business selling recyclable plastics with other companies in need on the materials. The successfulapplicant will be responsible for help to coordinate and streamline processes around intake and sale of product to maximise profit.Salary:£45-55K + BonusDuties

  • Driving stock turn and maximising profit of plastic materials delivered into the recycling plant, by being the vital link between global purchasing and sales teams and the onsite production team.
  • Source feedstock for the plant, responding to incoming enquiries
  • Working directly with the General Manager and Chief Trading Officer to analyse markets and opportunities.
  • identifying opportunities and bringing them to market.
  • Highly analytical, balancing the need to convert sales into long, and short-term contracts, whilst maximising margin at all times.
  • Communicating with colleagues across the world every day in the deal making process, a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset are key to being a top performer.
Essential requirements
  • Excellent communicator; open to giving and receiving feedback on performance.
  • Skilled at research and time management.
  • natural drive to achieve and a flexible mindset.
  • You will thrive in a fast-moving environment, respond to dynamic market conditions (exchange rates, material prices, and shipping rates) and react quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Lifelong learning and be eager to stay up to date by reading and attending additional training, and you take ownership of your development.
  • Demonstrable Sales or Business development experience-based on the road and a track record of developing a high volume of new business accounts from scratch.
  • It would be advantageous to have experience of selling or procuring commodities.
  • A track record of working to and exceeding financial targets.
  • Be able to overturn objections, convert them into sales.
  • Manage customer expectations along with successfully managing existing accounts and acquiring new ones at the same time.
