Job Description

The Role & Key Responsibilities Job Title: Procurement SpecialistLocation: Flexible UK or Rotterdam Netherlands – Hybrid workingPermanent Monday – Friday UK 37.5hoursHave you got experience of working in a procurement or category management role and looking for an opportunity to join a global team in a growing business If so, join us today.As a part of our procurement team you will have responsibility for managing a core set of of strategic partnerships with global suppliers of raw materials, contract manufacturing and logistics. Working closely with our business partners you will play a keypart in ensuring our supply chain is both fit for purpose today and optimised for the future.As an integral part of a small team, you will own supplier relationships in categories such as contract manufacture and raw materials, as well as supporting pan-procurement initiatives with other key responsibilities including:

  • Your defined category and wider projects
  • Building long term working relationships with stakeholders to identify and understand current and future needs
  • Managing supplier negotiations including leading the preparation for contractual negotiations
  • Engaging with other internal business unites and wider ABF teams for best practice and ideas
  • Driving cost reduction and increased service delivery in an ethical and sustainable way
  • Tracking value and benefits from sourcing strategies
This is a great opportunity for someone who has some experience in this space and looking to bring in their knowledge to a growing business while having the opportunity to work in a global team.To be successful in this role some of the things we are looking for:
  • Experience with end-to-end procurement activities with category management
  • Experience of using e-sourcing procurement tools would be beneficial not essential
  • Good analytical/negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers
  • Experience of negotiation contracts
  • Degree level in relevant background, CIPS or equivalent desired not essential
LocationFor this role we are flexible for the right person within our UK or Netherlands team.
