Job Description

Principal Consultant - FireThis new and exciting role would be perfectly suited to a dynamic and personable individual; an effective communicator with a passion delivering results within Fire Risk.The Role of the Principal Fire ConsultantAs the Principal Consultant you will be responsible for providing safety specialist consulting in the built environment as well as working with a diverse range of clients.You will provide leadership and team support to a small team of consultants, ensuring they are aligned with the company vision and consistently deliver against SLAs and targets and to ensure that clients are provided with a comprehensive and forensic outcome, efficiently and in a timely manner.The Successful Principal Fire Consultant.The successful Fire Consultant should be established within the sector and be proficient in the following:

  • Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Be familiar with commercial, residential (housing), retail, education and government.
  • Be proficient in training and delivering training to clients, internal staff and project teams
  • UK travel may be required on an occasional basis and occasional international projects may arise.
  • Undertake complex risk assessments across fire, health & safety, and other assessments relating to the built environment e.g. work at height COSHH, RAMS, etc.
    • Skills Required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a principal fire consultant
  • Extensive experience undertaking high rise residential risk assessments across a range of built environments and developments, including housing developments, ideally with multi-site/client/product exposure.
  • Relevant qualifications at diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety practice.
  • Expert witness experience/court attendance experience.
  • Member of IFSM tier3, and or MIFE tier 3 or Grad IFE 3
  • Degree (or equivalent) in relevant HSE, engineering and design
  • Minimum of the CFPA European Diploma in Fire Prevention
  • Registration with MIFireE (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, BSI PAS79 Fire Risk Assessment, BS9999, BS9991, BS5839
    • The Package
  • £60,000 - 70,000+ per annum dependant on experience.
