We are a world leading manufacturer offering someone a chance to come to an established siteand bring about some positive change!BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000BENEFITS: Bonus Pension 7% Healthcare 25 days holiday + statsLOCATION: Corby, NorthamptonshireCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Kettering, Peterborough, Stamford, Northampton, Wellingborough, Market Harborough, LeicesterJOB DESCRIPTION: Planning / Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer, Supply Chain Manager - Foam, Sponge, Plastic, Adhesives, Chemicals, PackagingThe primary focus of this Supply Chain / Planning Manager position is to manage the Purchasing, Transport and Logistics teams at our 250,000 sq. ft site in Corby, Northamptonshire. You will also play an active role in continuously improving safety, quality,cost, delivery, and lead times.Additional key elements of the role will be to: Assist the senior team and oversee a total spend of circa £20million across around 100 SKUs Implement and ensure compliance with SLAs for the business and its suppliers Work with the Group on centralised indirect categories Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships and where needed, ensure supplier variation and contingency options exist Manage and control stock across the site in line with variation in requirements Reduce waste and improve efficiencies where possibleThis is genuinely an opportunity to take over an established buying platform and will require a candidate who is strong willed and confident in their approach. The business has lots of longevity in terms of its circa 140 site employees so integrating yourselfinto the business will be vital, however, the business is also ready for change and will embrace new and innovative ideas and directions.PERSON SPECIFICATION: Planning / Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer, Supply Chain Manager - Foam, Sponge, Plastic, Adhesives, Chemicals, PackagingIdeally, you will be a qualified procurement specialist with a keen focus on management, holding either CIPs/MCIPs or the equivalent, looking for the next step in your career with a world leading manufacturer.The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following: Experience of managing a team of buyers Strong background of international Purchasing & Supply Chain management Proven ability in the development and implement procurement and supply chain tools & practices Experience of sourcing product & raw materials via a Global supply chain A proven track record of customer focus as well as achieving cost savings and business improvements A very strong understanding of any manufacturing environment will be of interestYou may well be looking for your first step into a management position and if you have accumulated the right experience and can demonstrate that you would fit in well with our business and strategy, we would absolutely welcome your application.Extensive training will be given in all aspects of our products, suppliers, and existing contracts.
