Pipe Fitter - Defence and Commercial Projects - sites near PeterboroughA well-established mechanical and electrical services company are actively looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter for their expanding Suffolk office. The position will be working in the Defence and Commercial sector based on sites in Peterborough area. Ideally you will need to have previous experience of MOD/RAF/MOJ projects and a good track record of demanding mechanical projects within commercial, office and residential sectors. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods. Experience working on commercial and defence projects. Experience of accurate installation of steel work, pipe work, pumps, valve pipeline ancillaries Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality Follow engineering drawings and instructions for each job Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes Prepare and set out sections to be joined or repaired Operate welding equipment Inspect and test welds and joins, using precision measuring instruments Hold Blue / Gold Card IPAF (desirable) PASMA (desirable) Pipefitters package: £18-19ph 37.5-hour week (Overtime rate after this) Van Mobile phone Please contact Adam Brown on or or for more information about this role or if you are interested in a new mechanical management opportunity within the Building Services sector (Plumber / Pipe Fitter)
