Job Description

I am excited to be working alongside a successful and established Web Development Agency based here in Peterborough. Due to continued growth they are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic, modern team who embrace a challenge! They pride themselves on finding elegant solutions, creating innovative online applications, services and websites.The successful applicant will very quickly become a key member of this growing business, you will be relied upon to help drive the team forwards, with plenty of room for new ideas and innovation.As a PHP Developer, you will get the opportunity to work on many projects of different sizes, using different technologies to produce business systems and web applications, through to brochure and eCommerce websites.The job:

  • Building websites, API’s and web applications
  • Building web pages and user interfaces from wireframes/designs
  • Working with Symfony, Laravel, Magento2 and WordPress
  • Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Creating and working from Spec Documents and Product Requirements
  • Supporting with ongoing clients and projects
  • Support from the business towards developing your skill set and career
    • The individual:
  • Will have a passion for web development and web technologies
  • Have a logical mind with a desire to produce outstanding work
  • Have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines
  • Want to be a key member of a growing agency
    • Required experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years commercial experience
  • OO PHP (or equivalent server-side language)
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • GIT/Composer
    • Advantageous but not essential experience:
  • Laravel or Symfony
  • Use of any frontend framework, preferably React
  • Experience of building eCommerce sites with Magento or WooCommerce
