Network & Information Security EngineerPeterborough Competitive SalaryWe are excited to recruiting a Network & Information Security Engineer to work with one of our well established clients in Peterborough.The Network and Information Security Engineer implements and maintains the Network Infrastructure and Information Security technical controls in accordance with the organisations Corporate Infrastructure and Information Security programs. The Consultant performs the evaluation, implementation and optimization of new Networking technologies and Information Security initiatives. The Consultant provides second level support for network issues and security events, resolving and escalating where necessary.Key Areas of Responsibility* Administration, Support and Maintenance of the Network Infrastructure in accordance with documented standards and procedures* Develop, implement and maintain the information security safeguards and measures to enforce the information security policies, standards, and procedures* Consult with internal business partners to identify network and security requirements and implement with required security controls and network standards* This role will be approximately 50% dedicated to project work and 50% security operational support* Provide level 2 support for Network and Information Security* Ensure that new projects / deliverables are reviewed from a Network Engineering and InfoSec perspective and meet the businesses standards. * Assist with Information security incident response activity* Provide regular updates to Business leadership on the UK and International Security Posture and ongoing initiatives.* Participate in on-call support rotation and off hours or weekends as needed with Global InfoSec colleagues.* Assist with Global initiatives as required.* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors * Some national and international travelExperience* 6 years+ cumulative Cisco network infrastructure experience which should encompass three or more of the following:o Cisco Routing and Switchingo MPLS WAN supporto Routing Protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRPo Cisco ISEo Cisco Security Platforms (ASA, FirePower)o SNMP Monitoring solutionso Cisco Wireless * 6 years+ cumulative information security experience which should encompass three or more of the following domains:o Network & Endpoint Securityo Security Monitoring & Incident Handlingo IDP/IPS configuration and managemento Vulnerability Managemento Identity & Access Managemento Security OperationsPreferred Qualifications* Any relevant security certifications, such as: CCNP, CISM, CISSP* Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP applications and protocols, Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms* Web Filtering, Malware Analysis, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, FirewallIf this position sounds of interest to you and you feel you have the skills and experience required then apply today and one of our team will be in touch with you should your application be considered.
