Mechanical Engineer - NPD & ManufacturingPeterboroughGood base salary & benefits packageAre you a Mechanical Engineer who loves to innovate and createIf so, you might be the perfect fit for my customer!Theyre a leading company in the industry, with a history of developing high-quality and cutting-edge products that solve real-world problems.They’re always looking for new ways to improve their designs and manufacturing processes, using the latest technology and materials and are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join an existing team in Peterborough, where you will work ondeveloping manufacturing techniques for new and existing or adapted products.As the products are subject to repeated impact and stresses, youll ensure that the manufacturing processes create structurally safe products that meet or exceed the UK National standards, along with following the process from start to finish.Youll also collaborate with various colleagues, customers, and end-users, and create data sheets, assembly instructions, technical sheets, and BOMs.You will also have the opportunity to get hands on with the end product and do some design work too.To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant mechanical engineering qualification
  • Experience in working with 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey data to different stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in new product development and the manufacturing processes required.
  • Comfortable working with different teams at all levels
