Job Description

ME-5 Pathology Network Project Manager3-month contract - NHS Trust, Peterborough£230.40 per dayRemote WorkingOverview:My client is an NHS Trust based in Peterborough. The ME-5 Pathology network is seeking a candidate with a strong background as a project manager, capable of taking over and developing the project management administrative function for the network on an interimbasis. They are particularly interested in candidates able to demonstrate skills in project tracking, risk, issue, learning and other tracker log administration, meeting organisation and administration, project diary management. The role is Home based, with possibility of hot desk working at sites across the ME-5 Pathology Network Trust Sites.Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme and project management support to the ME-5 Pathology Network to enable delivery of specific priorities.
  • Project support to cross-organisational meetings including co-production and presentation of highly complex and sometimes contentious information to support decision making, and design of agendas.
  • Support, facilitation and delivery of aims of the ME-5 Pathology Network and support delivery of integrated working collaboration and improvement projects.
  • Assurance that specified programmes
  • Work with the Network Director, Clinical Lead and key stakeholders within the ME-5 Pathology Network to identify viable opportunities to improve services and reduce costs.
  • Provide knowledge to colleagues within the system to support change management and delivery of transformational projects
  • Undertake stakeholder/service mapping and analysis that underpins the needs of the work programme and change management needs and preferences.
  • Identify and create plans to mitigate and overcome risks, issues and barriers to change.
  • Develop business cases and financial plans necessary for specific service improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain information systems to enable project delivery to be monitored, including the range of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Significant training or experience in Programme Management
  • Project Management Qualification e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Leadership course or qualification
  • Evidence of successful delivery of a multi-organisation project in a service improvement role
  • Experience of planning organisational resources to support programme/ project implementation
  • Business and service planning experience
  • Experience in change management
  • Demonstrable experience of service redesign within a health or social care setting
Skills:
  • Knowledge of health intelligence, benchmarking and data sources
  • Ability to analyse and act upon complex information from various sources
  • Able to prepare reports that are lucid, informative and persuasive
  • Ability to effectively hold to account and recognise when to appropriately escalate
  • Proven ability to initiate, implement and drive processes on an organisation wide scale
  • Ability to meet deadlines and turn round work to short timescales
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to co-ordinate and prioritise tasks
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills including oral and written with different staff groups
  • Ability to foster good working relationships, motivate others and use influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent IT skills including in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of commissioning, acute, primary care and community services
  • Knowledge of NHS governance
  • Knowledge of payment mechanisms between organisations
  • Knowledge of acute contracting
