Job Description

Due to our company growth plans we have a new role available for a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our team as an IT Systems Administrator.Reporting to the Business Systems Manager you will be experienced in system administration with strong IT knowledge a curious mind together with experience in implementation, configurations, developments and system integrations.Responsibilities of our IT Systems Administrator include:

  • Assist with the further optimisation of our clients implemented platform.
  • Initiate reviews of processes, both physical and systemic, and formulate a strategy to align the utility and usage of to the agreed processes.
  • Develop workflows to support smooth flow of works (SO, WO, etc) through the business.
  • Write Suitescript (Javascript that targets the API) to enhance the user experience and effectiveness.
  • Take an active role in co-ordinating structured UAT for all current and proposed based systemic activity.
  • Capture and report any non-conformity arising for tracking and resolution.
  • Take a supporting role in implementation of new modules and add ons (WMS, Smartship, Quality)
  • Undertake a role review and amend permissions based on the outcome.
  • Support the purchasing team in developing and implementing an automated procurement strategy.
  • Aid in the identification, specification and generation of digital reporting on the journey to eliminating paper transfer of works.
  • Ensure our new ERP system, Netsuites is fully utilised by all in the supply chain management of the business.
  • Train new staff and existing staff with updates and troubleshooting
  • Provide a main contact point for day-to-day queries and manage any 3rd party resources as may be used from time to time.
Skills and Experience required of our IT Systems Administrator:
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally minimum of 3 years (or recent graduate).
  • Great interpersonal skills to enable training of new and existing staff
  • Ability to demonstrate to small groups of staff
  • Knowledge of Netsuite / Oracle or any ERP System would be an advantage but training will be given.
  • Capable of authoring and training SOPs.
  • Demonstrable experience (or recent qualification) of programming in any object-oriented programming language, JavaScript is obviously preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience of HTML, BFO, FREEMARKER, ZPL, SQL (and relational database concepts) desirable.
  • Innovative and constantly looking for ways to achieve a more efficient and effective solution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience testing code.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
