Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineeringconsultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Site and Ground Investigations, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolationsand Cable Theft Security.We have an exciting opportunity for an Enabling Works Project Manager to join Bridgeway Consulting working within the Network Rail Eastern Region (between Middlesborough and Northampton).About the RoleReporting to the Enabling Works Principal Project Manager and working with the wider ER-EC team to deliver a package of Culvert Enabling works and examinations. The role will include significant specialist subcontractor management across the Network RailEastern Region. Enabling work activities will include de-vegetation, de-watering, silt removal and other obstruction removal and access management. The role will include an understanding of environmental factors which may affect the works, and liaising withrelevant stakeholders including internal teams, Network Rail, Canals and Rivers Trust, Environment Agency, 3rd party landowners, and local authorities. Undertaking scoping visits and audits of internal teams and subcontractors. Driving and monitoring of departmentalproductivity and working closely with the BCL Commercial Team to manage payment applications and changes to planned work. Operational and commercial management of subcontractor activities, including commercial change management, tracking of deliverables, anddeveloping and maintaining a pool of specialist subcontractors through effective relationships.Duties Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including CRT, Traffic Management Contractors and 3rd party landowners to arrange access. Responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with agreed technical andquality standards. Ensure that staff and subcontractors are briefed on technical aspects, safe systems of work and deliverables. Ensure correct commercial engagement and management of sub-contracts. Co-ordination and monitoring of multi-disciplinary activities. Programme management and tracking of progress on a period-by-period basis. Execution of on-site sub-contractor audits in line with the relevant H&S plan for the project.
