Job Description

Do you have electronics & instrumentation experience, and are you seeking a new job in Peterborough Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a respected global company recruit an Emissions Measurement Technician, and the role comes with an umbrella rate of £27per hour - Inside IR35Ideally you will need the knowledge, base skills, and experience to be able to install, service, calibrate and maintain a fleet of emissions measurement equipment, this will include assisting engineers in conducting technical investigations of current andfuture emissions measurement technologies and processes in a laboratory environment, however for the right candidate, knowledge of electronics and instrumentation is a good starting point, and depending on actual level of knowledge there is the potential fora lower starting point, and develop.In your first few weeks in this Emissions Measurement role, you can expect to:

  • Take practical, hands-on responsibility for evaluating and deploying measurement equipment
  • Operate measurement equipment and conduct diagnostic investigations
  • Handle Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration of emissions measurement equipment Modifications to facility plant/test rigs and equipment
  • Evaluate products and processes in the emissions measurement discipline
To apply for this Emissions Measurement Services role, you will need a Technical Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 trained with electro-mechanical bias or equivalent extensive industry experience. You will also require the following:
  • Practical experience within instrumentation and theoretical knowledge of gaseous measurement
  • Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and permanent corrective actions
  • Experience working in an engine test cell environment (Preferred)
  • Experience working in an engineering technician role
