Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician to join our team in Peterborough.Reporting to the Service Manager the purpose of your role will be to refurbish and fit out the complete range of Portakabin buildings to the highest possible standards, specialising in electrical work. You will also be responsible for aftersales, rectificationand problem-solving work.Your working pattern will be Monday - Thursday 07:45-16:30 and finishing early on Friday 07:45-15:30 (with 45 minutes of break each day unpaid).Role Details

  • Hourly Rate: £14.24 p/h, £28,878.72 per annum
  • Opportunity to earn an additional hourly rate between £0.25 - £4.21 p/h (£507 - £8537.88 per annum)
  • Role based: Peterborough, PE4 5ET
  • Contract type: Permeant
  • Annual leave: 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety practices and all applicable legislation to encourage and maintain zero harm environment and culture.
  • Ensure that all buildings are tested to the required standards, including the completion of appropriate documentation/certification where applicable.
  • Understanding and applying the electrical principles and works associated with the design, building, instillation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring that all installations meet current regulations.
  • Assist where required in the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings both on and off site.

  • City & Guilds 2380/2381 (IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition) or JIB Card - Electrician (Must include IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition)
  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2) & City and Guilds 2360 or NVQ Level 3 electrical instillation
  • City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification
  • Establishes good working relationships with both customers and staff
  • A willingness to learn and embrace the skills of the modular industry
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Full driving licence
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent grade)
