Our trusted client are looking for electrical and mechanical fitters to join their engineering team in Peterborough.Electrical Fitter - up to £36,400 (Days)Job Purpose:· Wire complete machines and sub assemblies including control panels to customer specifications· Test completed equipment· Work in mechanical fitting, maintenance or on customer sites as required.The Job (Main Duties):· Fitting of junction boxes, conduits and full wiring of our clients range of equipment· Assist with testing of finished equipment and complete test records· Operate portable hand tools for drilling, grinding and sanding etc.· Work within planned times for jobs, and feedback deviations when necessary· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting with mechanical fitting as required· Support electrical work within the maintenance team· Work on customers sites as part of an installation team· To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management· Be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviours.Mechanical Fitter - Up to £36,400 (Days)Job Purpose:To assemble complete machines and sub-assemblies to customer specifications, and to test completed equipment.The Job (Main Duties):· To assemble kit of parts using drawings and internal paperwork system (Epicor)· To install pneumatic and hydraulic pipework· To assist with testing of finished equipment and to complete test records· To operate portable hand tools for drilling, grinding and sanding etc.· To lift components and assemblies using slings and pendant crane in a safe and protective manner, training will be given· To work within planned times for jobs, and to feedback deviations when necessary· To supply feedback on machine and process improvements
