Job Description

Pre Employment Vetting:- If you’re applying for a role this role, you’ll be subject to a higher-level vetting than a simple check into your criminal record. As NPPV checking is far more detailed than a standard DBS, checks can take longer to perform. Checks may also have to be run on several members of the family as well as on the person applying for the permission. Depending on the role, there will be a set period after which the vetting process is repeated. JOB SUMMARY The Digital Services Specialist, reporting into the Digital Services Supervisor will be responsible for the daily production of tasks such as preparation, scanning, quality control and data input for sensitive and confidential documents that are processed throughout the Digital Services facility based in Peterborough. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/SERVICE DELIVERY Responsible for processing sensitive and confidential documents in preparation, scanning, indexing, transferring and tracking of documents into electronic format according to specifications. Ensures accuracy and quality of the scanned documents.

  • To deliver highest quality of service in line with the requirements of the customer and our own quality standards.
  • Delivering against SLAs set by the end clients in order to maintain service delivery.
  • Indexes and dates scanned documents for proper electronic tracking; may maintain database records of imaged documents.
  • First point of contact for customer queries.

  • Be able to work on own initiative or in a team.

  • REQUIREMENTSMust Have
  • Proven ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of all activities. Working to targets.
  • Good level of English language, written and spoken.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Reasonable level of computer knowledge.
  • An understanding of the Data Protection Act and the GDPR.
  • Basic application software skills. Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (particularly Word, Excel and Access) is essential. Advanced knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Some commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Applicants are required to undergo enhanced pre-employment checks in line with the Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) - Level 2 requirement as part of this role. This will include personal, financial and criminal record checks (including immediate family members) for all applicants due to the high sensitivity of data being handled.
  • Preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of Kofax Capture Software and associated Scanning Hardware is desirable but not essential.
  • Good understanding of Information Management and associated software such as RSSQL, Kofax, EDRMS and SFTP
