Job Description

This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living Wage Foundation.Purpose of the RoleThe main purpose of this role is to effectively undertake general cleaning duties on sitein line with Queensgate shopping centre / Savills schedules.Key ResponsibilitiesThe main areas of accountability and personal specification for the position are detailed below:

  • To undertakegeneral cleaning duties to the prescribed standards asdetailed inthe site specification including:
  • Cleaning interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
  • Clean floors and floor coverings
  • Maintain the internal environment
  • Service toilet areas; clean all toilet appliances i.e. toilets, sinks, etc. and replenish customer suppliesi.e. toilet rolls
  • To clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.
  • To maintain stocks of cleaning materials, order from suppliers where required and to control the usage of materials ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy at all times.
  • To report any problems on-site to the supervisorI account managerso they may be rectifiedimmediately.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties/request commensurate with this position as designated by the account managerIsupervisor/client/company
Health and Safety

  • To inform line management if something happens that might affect your ability to work, like becoming pregnant or suffering an injury.
  • If you drive or operate machinery, you have a responsibility to tell your line manager if you take medication may have an impact on your safety and that of others ie drowsiness, confusion, sightIhearing impairment etc.
  • Ensuring that you receive training to enable you to undertake work activities in a safe manner.Should you identify the need for furthertraining, orare concerned for your safety you must inform your line manager
  • To ensure that you understand and work to all training, safe working practices and Health and Safety policies.
  • Inform Site or line manager immediately of any accidents at work.
  • To be responsible for the safe use and care of equipment and materials and wear appropriate protective clothing as supplied.
Other
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of the overall ethos/work/aims
  • To work in accordancewith site policies
  • Compliance with Safety requirements for operatives.Relationship with other team members and customer
Person specification:
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, furniture, rubbish
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment as supplied
  • Able to travel toother local sites as requested by the account managerIsupervisor
  • An effective communicator with a good understanding and speaking of English
  • Able to plan and priorities workload to ensure objectives are achieved on time
  • Able to identify problems and take appropriate action where necessary to resolve
  • Able to follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and machinery
  • Able to attain a consistent standard of service in cleaning duties
  • Enjoys and is able to work as part of a positively team
  • Ableto adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations as required
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Appreciates that projects need to be completed, Effective and efficient Time management of self and duties
  • Methodical approach with an ability to work under pressure

Experience of cleaning duties {Desirable)Working Hours37.5 hours a week ( 4 on 2 off Shift pattern, shift rotating early & late 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm)Salary£10.00 Per hour
