Job Description

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, The Peterborough School, an Independent Day School delivering exceptional education and nurturing children from Nursery through to Sixth Form. They now have an exciting new opportunity for a Toddler Room Leader to join their Nursery Team.The Nursey, based at the school, was founded in 2002 in the beautiful campus setting providing an oasis in which children can learn and grow. It is a 57 full time place Nursery and there are currently over 100 children registered.As the Toddler Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Toddler Room, managing a team of 4 and ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of care, education, safety and wellbeing to toddlers in your care.You will strive to provide a safe and enabling environment in which all children can play, develop, learn and enjoy.As a strong communicator you will nurture and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing an unrivalled service whilst ensuring all childrens needs are met.If you are an enthusiastic and passionate individual, with your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent then we want to hear from you!RequirementsSuccessful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • GCSE qualification in Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent
  • Knowledge, understanding and practical experience of children aged 0 to 2 years is required
  • Ability to work within a small team
  • Ability to maintain and complete records and documentation
  • Ability to promote positive behaviour
  • Have good observation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • A competitive salary dependent on skills knowledge and experience
  • 40 hours per week, worked in a shift pattern. Shifts are: 7.30am-4.30pm, 8am-6.00pm, 8.00am-5.00pm
