Job Title: Buyer - Ladies FashionLocation:PeterboroughSalary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum plus benefitsMy client is a highly successful business delivering fashion at the right price. They are a fast paced and evolving business and a very exciting place to work. Due to continued expansion with their online presence, they are now looking for a hands-on Buyer with the skills and experience of both brand development and buying.This is a role for an energetic and passionate ladies fashion buyer who wants to work in an ever-growing brand, where you can continue to contribute to the online growth of the business, where over half their annual turnover comes from their online operation.Job Summary & Responsibilities:

• Develop the Brand identity so that it maximises the potential of the products and target audience
• Provide direction and support for buying team members ensuring targets are identified and met, giving development, and mentoring where required
• Develop and buy a range of products that provides both wardrobe staples and fashion product for our customer, which is appropriate to the market and is in line with current trends
• Develop and buy a range of product that adapts to maximise trading potential in the marketplaces in which it is planned to trade in, finding new market places when relevant
• Develop a range of accessory product that complement and enhance the product offer
• Ensure a comprehensive supply base for product range that has the capability and capacity to consistently deliver against current and future growth requirements
• Work with suppliers to agree on effective negotiations to provide a commercial proposition whilst maintains production standards and product integrity
• Conduct continuous market appraisal to both benchmark against and to outperform the competition
• Continuous evolution of the offer to ensure it continues to meet customer expectations for newness and variety
• Working with the Head of Buying and Trading Director to define, implement and review the intake and margin strategy
• Collaborate with the product support team to ensure standards of fit and quality are maintained
• Regularly review customer feedback and use to develop and enhance product offer
• Define & deliver against the critical path for products, liaising with product support and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of intake & warehouse volumes can be met
• Ensure that suppliers conform to our code of ethics and urgently address any potential issues

Skills, Qualifications and attributes:

• Must have demonstrable successful experience buying within ladies fashion with experience of specialist markets with a focus on fast fashion/trend
• Expert knowledge of sourcing and key contacts
• Results driven with sound commercial acumen
• Strategic thinker with a hands on, action oriented approach
• Keen negotiator
• Highly motivated and a desire to be the best with proven ability to work well as a team
• Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace with loyalty and commitment to the business.
