Job Description

Auto Electrician required for my client based near to Peterborough.The successful electrician will be responsible for fitting electrical accessories to a wide range of emergency vehicles, in a safe and economical manner. These include installing customised LED lighting and beacons, parking warning systems, reverse cameras,DVRs, invertors and split charge systems.Auto Electrician Position Overview

  • Installation and integration of enhanced electrical/ electronic systems into all types of emergency vehicles.
  • Fitting, testing and commissioning a range of internal and external electrical components to vehicles, using hand tools and power tools, to specification or drawings.
  • Diagnosing electrical issues, using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding knowledge, and proposing a course of action, according to specified procedures.
Auto Electrician Position Requirements
  • Previous experience of a similar electrical/ auto electrical role.
  • The ability to read and understand build specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent, in Auto Electrics / Vehicle Electrical or Electronic Systems.
  • Proven ability to work using own initiative.
  • Ability to communicate well with other team members.
  • Demonstrate commitment, reliability and good time-keeping.
  • Based within a commutable distance to Peterborough.
  • Full UK Driving License.
Auto Electrician Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £30,000 to £33,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications
  • Full time position - Monday to Friday
  • 28 days holiday package - including bank holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme
