Job Description

Recruit Mint have partnered with a market leading radio communications manufacturer based just north of Peterborough who are looking to add a Applications Engineer to the business. This role will be two/three days office based and the rest working fromhome.Package:On offer is circa £35,000, 25 days holiday, Bupa Healthcare, Pension up to 8% matched as well as a number of other great benefitsRole:The main focus of this role is to develop and bring together proposals of radio communication systems as per customer requirements and the role will include the below responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical liaison point for customers to ensure all specifications and requirements are met
  • Integrate system designs and supporting documentation for proposals of our clients radio communication systems
  • Work closely with the bid team on larger project proposals
  • On receipt of customer orders review technical contracts, drawings and designs
  • Be accountable for the cost of engineering activities and solutions on your assigned projects
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with suppliers and customers, acting as the technical point of contact where required
  • Provide detailed technical advice to customers and other departments
Location:Our client is based local to Peterborough with candidates able to commute from Sleaford, Lincoln, Kings Lynn, Wisbech, Stamford, Oakham, Huntingdon, St Neots, GranthamCandidate:To be considered for this role you will fit the below criteria:
  • Have a degree in electronic or systems engineering or experience within an application engineer or similar role
  • Experience working with Radio Communication, Navigation or surveillance systems within the aviation and aerospace industry
  • Understanding radio systems is essential, preferable UHF and VHF
  • Be a forward thinker with the ability to work under own initiative to customer deadlines
